Well here it is, finally, the post featuring some of the houses, inns and cottages nestled in the hills and on the shore of Bayfield, WI which sits on the shores of Lake Superior.
Of course, I have to start with the famous Rittenhouse Inn. A gorgeously maintained Victorian inn, and fun place to stay, but if you’re thinking of staying there during Apple-fest, the first weekend of October, book ahead, like at least a year ahead!
I also love that the house is basically all white, it’s just the quiet shadow lines of the architectural details that you subtly hear.
But here’s to a little color… this square Victorian cottage looks like it was almost transplanted from Key West… love the roof with the seafoam colored edge detail, really draws your eye up to the top cupola.
